The first time I had visited a planetarium was when I was in first grade. The planetarium program was both educational and entertaining. That day, we became witnesses to a sports drama unfolding right under the dome. We learned fascinating facts about the planets of the Solar System and the universe as a whole. We also discovered that the planets, brought to life through the imagination of an unknown author in quite humanlike forms, were not strangers to the Olympic spirit. In the play projected onto the planetarium’s dome, Earth was depicted as a brave and beautiful girl in a sundress with a long braid. I’m sure you can imagine what Mars looked like.

The planets raced along the marathon tracks of their orbits, and, of course, it all culminated in Earth’s triumphant victory. Since then, the planets have become characters in our childhood games, and the night sky and the infinite cosmos have become a stage where fantasies and dreams come alive.
