Margarita Studio

My name is Margarita, and I’m the founder of Margarita Studio, based in Charleston, South Carolina. I found my way back to photography a couple of years ago where I decided to complete courses in Film and Digital Photography at Trident Technical College. This program allowed me to explore all kinds of different styles and methods of photography, while also gaining valuable experience in the real world. Through my experience, I’ve become very flexible and adaptable, being able to work in any kind of environment. I have plans of growing my business into even more areas of photography as well as curating a wider portfolio geographically.

I grew up in the Charleston area, born to immigrant parents from Mexico. I’ve always been surrounded by lots of loving family and support. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a love for photography, but felt the need to do something different because I saw my parents working so hard. I was able to fall back in love with the art and decided to pursue it at Trident Tech where I’ve been able to meet amazing and inspiring people who have taught me so much. They really helped me grow as a photographer, which let me explore my passion and even highlight my parents’ hard work.
